Speaker: Mike Rijnierse

Graduated from the interfaculty Beeld&Geluid (Now ArtScience) at the KABK/Royal Conservatory in ’97, Mike has quite a resume to prove his skills and insight as an audiovisual artist. In the last few years, he notably moved more towards projects in public space. Despite this, his theme of light and light’s effect on your surrounding stands strong, and one of his latest works, Lumokinese, shows the audience what light can do to a room, but also the shapes/shadows your body leaves on the walls/floor/ceilling around you. We are very eager to see what Mike has to offer us on the next PKDH-Night. To get you in the mood, a short video of a project Mike did at the 2007 TODAYSART festival, together with Detlef Villerius and Basten Stokhuyzen.
